Principle 9 of 10

MEV Resistance

Validators must be structurally prevented from extracting value by reordering transactions.

MEV exists because validators see transaction content before ordering is finalised. The solution is architectural: encrypt transaction content before gossip, so validators can only see metadata during the ordering phase. If validators cannot see content, there is no profitable reordering strategy.

Scoring Rubric

Score Criteria
7–10 Content-metadata separation implemented; base fee burned; no profitable validator reordering strategy exists by construction.
4–6 Proposer-Builder Separation or equivalent MEV mitigation; MEV reduced but not eliminated.
0–3 No MEV protection; validators have full visibility of pending transaction content.
