Principle 9 of 10
MEV Resistance
Validators must be structurally prevented from extracting value by reordering transactions.
MEV exists because validators see transaction content before ordering is finalised. The solution is architectural: encrypt transaction content before gossip, so validators can only see metadata during the ordering phase. If validators cannot see content, there is no profitable reordering strategy.
Scoring Rubric
| Score | Criteria |
|---|---|
| 7–10 | Content-metadata separation implemented; base fee burned; no profitable validator reordering strategy exists by construction. |
| 4–6 | Proposer-Builder Separation or equivalent MEV mitigation; MEV reduced but not eliminated. |
| 0–3 | No MEV protection; validators have full visibility of pending transaction content. |
