Privacy Post-Quantum MEV

Cardano is the most formally-specified of the major chains — its Ouroboros consensus protocol has been peer-reviewed and partially verified. It scores well on trustlessness, finality, and energy, but has no privacy, no post-quantum security, and its on-chain governance (Voltaire) is still maturing.

Principle Breakdown

Ouroboros is a formally proven PoS protocol. Trustlessness is well-established.
Stake pool distribution is better than most chains. Nakamoto Coefficient approximately 10-15.
ECDSA only. No PQC roadmap published.
No transaction privacy.
Ouroboros Praos provides probabilistic finality with deep settlement. Ouroboros Genesis improves this. Not fully deterministic BFT.
PoS — energy efficient. Strong score.
Ouroboros protocols are peer-reviewed academic papers, partially verified. Best formal specification record of any major chain.
Voltaire era introduces on-chain governance via Project Catalyst and Constitutional Committee. Still developing but directionally correct.
No structural MEV protection.
No identity system.
